Updates to 3.3.2 of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement and App Store Review Guideline 2.5.2

What happened with Apple’s guidelines?

On March 7, 2017, Apple started notifying some developers that their apps were not in compliance with section 3.3.2 of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement and App Store Review Guideline 2.5.2. The code in question in these guidelines can facilitate significant changes to an app’s behavior compared to when it was initially reviewed by the App Store.

What should I do with my Skillz game?

We have modified the Skillz iOS SDK to comply with these stricter guidelines. You can find the new SDK on our Developer Portal.

  • If you are planning on submitting a new app to the App Store or wish to make any immediate updates to your app for submission, we recommend integrating with this updated version of the Skillz iOS SDK.

  • If you aren’t planning on making any changes to your app or submitting a new app at this time, we have an SDK slated to be released early next quarter. We recommend waiting for that release to make your next update.

If you have other concerns, you can email us at integrations@skillz.com.
