Tracking Analytic Events Using Game Parameters

If your game has its own analytics, it is possible to track basic tournament events by using Game Parameters. Game Parameters are simple key value pairs that can be set on a per tournament basis. For further information, please refer to our game parameters (iOS or Android) documentation.

For example, if you want to keep track of users playing cash games, you can add a "cash = true" Game Parameter to each of your Cash Tournaments, then check the parameter when you launch a Tournament.

For native iOS games, Game Parameters are available in the SkillzDelegate object's tournamentWillBegin callback:

// put the following in your implementation of SkillzDelegate
- (void)tournamentWillBegin:(NSDictionary *)gameParameters
{
	NSLog(@"Tournament is starting with %@", gameParameters);
}
